Locally owned and operated, the REPUBLIC is bringing "international comfort food" to the RVA. With a menu ranging from small plates, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees from around the world, we pledge to keep your stomach full while not emptying your wallet. We offer a kid's menu, a variety of nightly specials focusing on a different country monthly and something affordable for every palette in addition to an extensive stock of your favorite adult beverages.

The REPUBLIC nightlife will be sure to be what legends are made of. Whether you're coming for the live entertainment on our main room stage, our weekly piano bar, or just for a casual drink, the REPUBLIC is the place to be and the place to be seen. But don't worry about the crowd, the REPUBLIC is designed for comfort with two large rooms featuring separate smoking and non smoking bars, a "Ladies Lounge" and coming soon; a private hall for any of your private party needs including fully catered events.

We are proud to be Richmond’s most environmentally friendly restaurant. We strive to be as "green" as possible and have implemented several energy efficient modifications throughout the restaurant during our renovation process. From the repurposed hardwoods used to build our floor and bar to the recycled and biodegradable materials used in our menus, napkins, and to-go boxes or to the solar generated electricity that powers the entire facility, the REPUBLIC is driven to be environmentally friendly and energy sufficient (and self-sustaining).
